Clashes erupt in Magam

Clashes erupted between students and government forces in Magam town of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday, reports said.

According to the reports, the students of Government Higher Secondary School Magam staged a protest inside the school premises in which pro-freedom slogans were raised.

However, Forces used tear gas shells to disperse the students, when they tried to march on the Srinagar-Gulmarg Highway.

Consequently, the business establishments closed their shops and traffic disappeared from the roads.

Meanwhile, sources said that three students were arrested and one student was injured in the clashes.
