Anti-polythene drive organised at Aripal Tral

A day long campaign against the use of polythene was organized by Block Development Officer (BDO) Aripal Tral  in South  Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

The drive was conducted in the  backdrop of the directions passed by Minister for Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayat Raj Abdul Haq Khan to launch Polythene-free village campaign from May 11.

District Panchayat Officer Pulwama Mr. Hilal Ahmad, BDO Aripal Mr. Farooq Ahmad Mir and Jr. Engineers Ishtiaq Farooq and Shahid Abdullah among othes took part in the drive.

Students and teachers of Government Middle School Aripal also took part in the drive. 
Speaking on the occasion DPO Pulwama Mr Hilal Ahmad said we have to begin from our home and abandon use of polythene.

The anti-polythene drive was launched by RDD on May 11 and will culminate on May 17.
