Swachhta week campaign: Official teams seize 1214.35 Kgs polythene in 3 days
The official teams in Jammu division have seized 1214.35 Kgs of polythene and charged Rs 23945 fine from the traders found using banned plastic bags during the first three day statewide drive under Swacchta week campaign launched by the Rural Development Department (RDD).
As per director rural development, a polythene collection and seizer campaign has been launched across Jammu Division on the directions of Minister, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
Meanwhile, Block Development Officer, Nangali Sahib of District Poonch has been attached in the Directorate of Rural Development Jammu for non compliance of the instructions regarding collection of polythene and imposing fine thereof.
