SSM School organises grand marathon race
A grand marathon race was organized by students and JK scouts of SSM school and SSM Education institution at the historical Nishat Garden.
Chief Commissioner JK scouts, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, Director School Education, Dr. G. N. Yatoo, Chairman S.S.M. School, ex-education director, Shugufta Parveen, prominent environmentalist M Y Chapri, Principal of SSM School along with the staff and other personalities were present on the occasion.
The students, who have excelled in different fields of education and sports, were awarded by Director Education. Award of honour was presented to the chief guests.
Director Education said this was the first function that he was attending after taking over the position, which was truly remarkable. M Y Chapri said that Sheikh Noor ud Din Wali had declared this part of Kashmir as ‘janat’.
Renzushah, who is also Chairman of Kashmir Society appreciated Prof. G. N. Parray for organizing such a grand function of youth. He said that time has come to educate youth about Great contribution of our Sufi saints, who shaped Kashmir as a proud civilization from Kashmir to Kashgar.
The students gave speeches on environment and presented natya kalaams .The Principal of SSM School spoke about the contribution of young students. All speakers advised the youth to make Kashmir proud through their talent in a positive way.
