New Police Chief for Kashmir
The state government Saturday appointed Inspector General of Police Kashmir range SJM Gillani as Director of Vigilance, J&K while as Munir Khan was appointed as new IGP Kashmir zone.
As per an order issued by the government Gillani has replaced Munir Khan as Director Vigilance.
The 94-batch IPS officer, Gillani has been appointed on the basis of the recommendation of a committee constituted under section 22 of the J&K State Vigilance Commission Act, 2011, read the government order issued by the GAD.
The government has appointed Munir Khan as new IGP. The order was issued by GAD Secretary, Khurshid Ahmad Shah.
