Encounter rages in Handwara, 2 LeT militants killed
Two Laskar e Toiba militants were killed in a brief encounter between forces and militants at Waripora area Handwara in North Kashmir on Sunday.
Official sources told news agency GNS that a joint team of army and SoG cordoned off the suspected area in Waripora. As such the joint team of forces intensified the combing operation, the militants hiding in the area opened fire triggering of an encounter.
Subsquently, two LeT militants were killed in the operation, sources said.
The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertianed.
