Assembly speaker inspects ongoing works in Channi area
Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today visited Channi Himmat and inspected various developments works being executed in Ward No. 50 & 51.
Speaker inspected the upgradation works of lanes and drains in Ward No. 50 and 51 being executed by different agencies. He directed the engineers to use quality material and ensure completion within stipulated time frame.
Interacting with the locals, Kavinder said that the Union government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities adding that Jammu city is being developed in all respects to showcase it as a major attraction for the tourists visiting the state.
He sought cooperation of the people for effective implementation of the development programmes.
Earlier, he inspected the pace of work of additional classrooms in the premises of Government Girls Middle School Channi Himmat, being constructed under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. The management of the school apprised the Speaker about various requirements including computers, desks and other equipments.
Speaker assured them to take up the matter with the concerned ministry for meeting these requirements at the earliest.
