Minister reviews water supply scenario in Jammu areas

The Minister directed the concerned PHE division heads to activate filed staff to ensure proper upkeep of equipments at all water installations to avoid breakdown of supply. Reviewing water supply scenario in Jammu city, the Minister said that department may get   funds under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) for further augmentation of water supply in the water stressed localities.

The Minister asked the Executive Engineer Kathua to start the laying of pipes in Kathua town for which Rs 15 lakh would be provided by the Chief Engineer.
