Police launches massive manhunt to catch killers of army officer

Posters of three militants have surfaced in Sourth Kashmjr’s Shopian town, who according to the police are involved in the abduction and killing of army officer Umar fayaz.

Police claimed that these militants are from Lashkar-e-Toiba  (LeT) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM).

According to police the militants ‘wanted’ in abduction and killing of army lieutenant Umar Fayaz are Ishfaq Ahmad Thoker son of Abdul Majeed Thoker resident of Padderpora Shopian,  Gayas-Ul-Islam son of Bashir Ahmad thoker resident of Padderpora Shopian  and Abbas of bhat son of Abdul jabber Bhat resident of Mantribugh Shopian.

Both Padderpora and Mantribugh villages of Shopian district are very close to Batpora from where Umar Fayaz was abducted and killed. 

“We have launched a massive manhunt to catch the militants involved in the abduction and killing of young army officer”, Police sources said.

A resident of Sudsona Kulgam Umar’s dead body was found in the orchards of Harmain shopian on Wednesday morning, where he had gone a day before to attend the wedding ceremony of his cousin.
