Doctors urged to become brand ambassadors of JK

The apex committee meeting on Tourism was held in SKICC in which the experts from Ministry of Tourism GoI were briefed about the ongoing work on different projects under PMDP and PMRP.

The Secretary Tourism and Floriculture Farooq Ahmad Shah briefed the members about the said works specifically the integrated Development of tourist facility at Lal Chowk, Khayam, Batamaloo, Bemina, Badamwari orchard, Lakhanpur, Bhasoli, Bilawal, Ranjit Sagar circuit, Integrated Development for model villages in a circuit mode and Integrated Development of religious places shrines heritage sites, forts.

The Secretary was accompanied by Director Tourism Kashmir, Jammu, MD cable car, Joint Director planning and other officers of the Tourism Department who also provided the necessary input to the Apex team members.

Farooq Ahmad Shah later gave a presentation to the delegates who are presently participating in a national scientific conference on communicable diseases.

Secretary Tourism asked the Doctors to become brand ambassadors of Jammu Kashmir and organise such events and medical conferences in future also as Kashmir weather is most feasible for the same.

He urged the delegates to initiate projects and programmes for promoting Kashmir for medical Tourism.
