Students clash with forces in Magam

Clashes erupted  between students and forces in Magam town of Budgam district on Thursday after  students of Government  Degree College  Magam protested against the forces action on students across the valley.

According to the sources,  the students were protesting against the highhandedness of the forces on students across the valley.

Witness told Kashmir Vision that police and CRPF party entered the premises of Government  Degree College and Higher Secondary School  Magam to chase the protesters away.

Consequently,  six students were detained and soon their fellow students  started pelting stones  and were demanding release of the arrested students.

Police and forces personnel resorted to tear smoke shelling against the stone pelting students including girl students triggering intense clashes in the premises.

According to the unconfirmed reports, two students were injured in the ongoing clashes.
