LoC skirmishes: Woman killed in Rajouri

A 36 year old woman was killed as the India and Pakistan armies exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, sources said.

According to the sources, Pakistan Army on Wednesday night resorted to indiscriminate firing in Naushera sector causing death of a  36 year old woman.

Consequently, Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively and firing was on when the last reports came in.

Pertinently, in the last month two Indian soldiers were killed and their bodies allegedly mutilated by Pakistan Army along the LoC in Poonch district.

Meanwhile, all the schools were closed as a precautionary measure along  LoC today. 

“All schools in villages close to the LoC (Line of Control) in Rajouri will remain closed as a precautionary measure,” a district official said.
