As student protests refuse to die down, the authorities suspended class work of two schools in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The Budgam district officials Tuesday ordered the suspension of class work in two schools following clashes on Monday.

“Class work will remain suspended today at Govt Boys High School and Higher Secondary school Budgam,” said an official.

Pertinently, the students in the valley have been protesting since April 15, when forces and students clashed in Degree College Pulwama in South Kashmir.

On Monday clashes were reported from at least four places including Handwara, Newa Pulwama, Budgam and Tral.
