Asserting that dialogue is the only way forward to end the crisis in the Kashmir Valley, National Conference (NC), State Vice President Thakur Kashmira Singh on Monday said that dialogue is the only way forward for resolving political issues.

Reacting to the statement of a central BJP minister, the State Vice President said that this is complete U-turn of the agenda of alliance this party has forged with the PDP before forming coalition government in the state. He said the two parties are committed for dialogue and backtracking from it is yet another betrayal with the people.

Kashmira Singh expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation and said that bloodshed is only adding to the problems and if the government does not appreciate the gravity of the prevailing scenario, the state is poised for a big disaster.

He said the disturbed situation in Kashmir has impacted the overall governance, and the development has been a major causality. He said the people are suffering on account of utility services, like drinking water and power besides supply of rations, but the coalition government is engaged in diversionary tactics.

Singh said that NC believes in comprehensive dialogue with all the stakeholders for bringing peace and normalcy in the state.
