Aasiya Andrabi’s police remand extended
A local court has extended the judicial remand of Dukhtaran-e-Milat Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi for two more days. Andrabi and her associate Fehmeda Sofi are currently lodged in Women’s Police Station Rambagh.
A police party form Soura and Zakoora police stations arrested Aasiya Andrabi from her Soura residence on April 26. She was booked under section 107 and 151 Ranbir Penal Code. Police had sought remand for her up to May 3 and later on court extended her remand to May 8. On Monday there was two day’s extension in her remand.
The outfit accused authorities of harassment and said that without producing Aasiya Andrabi before the court of law, here remand is being extended.
