Stress on people centric approach in revenue offices: DC

To review the working of Revenue Department, Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting of Revenue officers here today.

The meeting was attended by ACR, Vevaik Puri, SDM Gool, Pankaj Balotra,  Tehsildars and other concerned officials.

DC directed all Tehsildars to constitute Citizen Councils in their respective Tehsils for easy access to problems and other issues of general public. Tehsildars were also directed to submit progress report under Aadhaar enrolments. Naib Tehsildars were directed for compiling one Jamabandi per month besides submitting Roznamcha Waqiat on monthly basis.

Officers were instructed for early completion of land acquisition cases, preparation of Jambandi and attestation of mutations.  Tehsildars were asked to direct the Girdawars and Patwaris under their jurisdictions to properly maintain Roznamcha,  Jamabandi  and other revenue records.

They were directed to submit Inheritance Mutations’ details with proper verification as per death record of Chowkidar Register besides submitting village wise details of removal of land encroachments.

 DC stressed upon the officers and directed them to adopt pro- active work culture   for timely disposal of applications and submission of information under PSGA and asked the officials to be responsive to the public issues.

The Tehsildars were directed to make duty roaster of all Patwaris and subsequently notifying days on which they will remain on field duty for the convenience of the public.
