Director School education to hold Weekly ‘Awami Darbar’
In order to address the public issues on spot, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo shall be conducting weekly Awami Darbar on every Saturday between 12:30PM to 3:00PM in the Conference Hall of the Directorate. This will be addition to the daily public interaction from 12.30pm to 3P.M.
In the Awami Darbar all the staff officers and section heads shall remain present so that issues raised by the concerned persons are addressed on the spot.
This step of Awami Darbar is quite a new step to solve the issues in a transparent manner and with faster action. This decision shall go a long way in changing the contours of administrative justice by Director School Education Kashmir, a statement by the Directorate said.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G.N. Itoo chaired another meeting of Private School Association and assured them all help as per existing rules. He added that the department shall work out a joint mechanism to utilize the expertise and available technology after due consultation with civil society in the interest of students and betterment of education.
Meanwhile, Director also chaired a review meeting of the Cluster Heads of district Srinagar in which he was apprised that the inspection and monitoring process by cluster heads has led to more transparency and roll of students has shown an upward trend. Director advised the Heads to work with more dedication and sincerity and take corrective measures in academics of schools as may be necessary so that the better academic environment is provided to the student community.
