Tasaduq Mufti proposes change in habits among masses

Tassaduq Mufti, brother of CM Mehbooba Mufti and leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday asked people to change their habits for making Anantnag a better place to live.

Mufti was addressing a gathering during a seminar titled ‘Solid Waste Management’ at Dak Bunglow Anantnag. The seminar, organized by Urban Local Bodies and Municipal council, Anantnag was also attended by Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Health and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash.

“People should change their habits so that the Anantnag would be made a better place for living,” he said, he said, adding that “it is the responsibility of every individual to protect the environment and make their areas neat and clean,”

Addressing the gathering, minister, Asiea Naqash said that the Municipal Committee and Municipal Council will be equipped with latest gadgets which would help them in sanitation to make the area better.

She also appreciated the role played by sweepers in keeping their respective areas clean.

Director, Local Bodies, Riyaz Ahmad Wani, Chief Executive Officer, Shabir Ahmad Wani also spoke on the occasion.
