Sharing the pain and grief of the bereaved families, the Chief Minister said these personnel were on the duty to protect and disburse public money and their killingreflects the dangerous criminalisation turn the society is taking. She appealed people, particularly civil society and youth, to rise against this dangerous trend of looting of public money by spilling innocent blood, thereby giving Kashmir a terribly bad name in the civilized world.

Later, Mehbooba Mufti visited the family of constable Ishfaq Ahmad at Batapora, Zakoora in Srinagar who was also killed in the said incident and condoled with his family, including aged parents and young siblings.

Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqash was also present on the occasion.
