Youth escapes from police custody

A youth, detained under Public Safety Act, fled from police custody in Keegam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, sources said.

They said that Zubair Ahmad Turray, arrested in 2015 for his alleged involvement in stone-pelting protests, escaped from police post today.

He is a resident of Bonbazar area of Shopian.
