Meanwhile, the teachers and lecturers who skipped their routine class work on Monday met DSEK during official hours and sought resolution of their various issues.

“We were surprised to see the teachers assembling here during working hours to receive new director. It was totally against the interest of students who are the real stakeholders of the Department,” said one of the employees at Directorate.

Itoo reached Directorate around 2:30 pm and convened a meeting with DSEK employees which was attended by trade union leaders during working hours.

“Despite skipping their classes the teachers were allowed to join the meeting which has obviously set a bad precedence here in the Department,” the employee said.
