The administration in Srinagar today said that teaching activity in SP and MP schools will remain suspended on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone said that teaching activity in SP and MP schools will remain suspended tomorrow. However, “all other educational institutions in the District will function normally,” he said.

The two schools have been closed from the last week in the backdrop of protests and violent clashes between students and forces against the assault on students in Pulwama Government College on April 15 following the entry by an army vehicle into the college premises.

Earlier, the government closed colleges and higher secondary schools in the Valley after widespread protests by students against the Pulwama college assault.
