KPMG training programme ends at CUK

The four day training programme by KPMG on Green Belt Six Sigma for the students of management studies of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) ended successfully, a statement issued by CUK said.

The training programme was jointly organised by the Department of Management Studies and the Central Placement Cell (CPC) of the university as a capacity building measure for the students.

Manish Jha and Vishal Singh conducted the training programme on behalf of the renowned organisation KPMG.

Addressing the valedictory function, Registrar, Prof. Mohammad Afzal Zargar, expressed satisfaction on successful conclusion of the programme. He revealed that the university is committed to provide best facilities both in academics and other activities to the students so that they become best fits for the job market.

Head Department of Management Studies, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah said the Department is making endeavours on multiple fronts to groom the students for meeting the challenges of changing business panorama. He underscored the importance of blend of teaching and industry exposure for professional development of students.

Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Nika, Dean Students Welfare & Chief Placement Officer of the University while speaking on the occasion expressed optimism about the effectiveness of training imparted to the students.

He revealed that the Central Placement Cell shall continue to hold such programmes to establish distinctive position of the University as an institution of higher learning. He expressed gratitude to the university administration for the support in holding the capacity building and pre-placement training programme,

The student participants also gave their feedback on the occasion. Placement orders in ITC were also handed over to two students Uzair Yaseen and Basit Ishaq.
