DFP slams authorities for targeting students
The Democratic Freedom Party, on Thursday, condemned the state-sponsored terrorism on students and said the educational institutions have been turned into slaughter houses and forces are using excessive force on children.
DFP secretary general, Moulana Abdullah Tari, said that the government had deployed forces in educational institutions to target the students.
He asked the police personnel to introspect as to whatever they were doing was morally and ethically right.
Slamming the authorities for using excessive force against the students in Pulwama and Kupwara, he said, “The students whom you are targetting are our own children and you are snatching their future.”
Tari also condemned the thrashing of prominent personality Sarjan Barkati by police. He said, “Barkati was produced before a court in Shopian following which a police party took him to police station where he was tortured.”
He also slammed authorities for arresting the Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Syeda Aasiya Andrabi.
