Police and CRPF foiled today AIP’s march against the killing of a civilian at Panzgam by Army after the encounter.

Despite strict restrictions, hundreds of protestors led by Er. Rasheed started protest march from Deputy Commissioner Kupwara’s Office and started chanting anti-army slogans and demanded arrest of the Army Officer responsible for killing of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat.

However, a heavy contingent of Police and CRPF stopped the protestors near main market Kupwara. Police used force to foil the march and arrested Er. Rasheed along with few protestors and lodged them in Police Station Kupwara.

Speaking to media persons before his arrest Er. Rasheed said that Army is after blood of Kashmiris.

“In broad day light and in presence of police and media persons an Army major ordered to fire bullet on head to the deceased Mohammad Yousuf and then shamelessly army Jawans celebrated his murder. Police could do nothing to save a precious life and the army in fact abused shamelessly even the senior superintendent of police present there”. Er. Rasheed said.

Er. Rasheed said that just lodging an FIR doesn’t carry any meaning, unless the culprits in uniform involved in cold blood murder are not arrested and put behind bars.
