Actor Vinod Khanna passes away
Vinod Khanna, the heartthrob of Bollywood and Member of Parliament died Thursday morning in a Girgum based hospital in Mumbai. He was reportedly battling with cancer for years. He was 70.
The statement released by the hospital said, “Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Mr. Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma.”
Apart from being a Bollywood star Khanna was Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur Punjab, which he won on BJP ticket in 2014.
Early this year the pictures of Vinod Khanna in hospital had gone viral. In late 2016 and early 2017, news about his detoriating health started coming in, this kept him away from a public eye.
Khanna is survived by his wife Kavita Khanna, sons Rahul, Akshaye and Sakshi, and daughter Shraddha Khanna.
In his last days he was surrounded by all his children and wife Kavita.
