Declare unilateral cease-fire with militants if you want talks: Er Rasheed tells GoI
Ridiculing Mehbooba Mufti for her claim that Modi government would follow Vajpayee’s policy on Jammu & Kashmir, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed Wednesday said that Kashmiris have rejected Vajpayee’s policy in Kashmir. He said that those praising Vajpayee are trying to mislead none but themselves.
According to the statement, Rasheed was addressing a public meeting at Sochalyari Handawara in North Kashmir today.
Rasheed asked government of India to announce unilateral ceasefire before announcing unconditional talks with the militant leadership.
“If New Delhi is really sincere to initiate dialogue process it must end all operations against militant outfits and declare a unilateral cease-fire before offering unconditional talks to militant leadership who are the real custodians of huge sacrifices”. Er. Rasheed said.
Er. Rasheed said neither was Vajpayee in favour of UN resolutions nor has he shown willingness to leave entire J&K as an independent state.
“His (Vajpayee’s) only mission was to engage Kashmiris into futile talks and get them tired and pitch them against each other by creating confusions and doubts.
“There is nothing special in Vajpayee’s Kashmir mission except adding to the confusion”. He said.
Mehbooba Mufti while talking much about Vajpayee’s Kashmir mission is hiding her failures.
