Book self-styled ‘Gau Rakshaks’ under PSA: Jammu Muslim Bodies
Amalgam of Muslim bodies of Jammu Tuesday demanded that all the eleven self-styled ‘Gau Rakshaks’ involved in murderous assault on a nomad family in Reasi district should be booked under Public Safety Act.
Pertinently, police have booked 11 miscreants for attacking a nomad family near Talwara Bridge in Reasi district when they were moving with their livestock.
Shujah Zaffar, General Secretary Jammu Muslim Front said that right wing outfits are hell-bent to disrupt communal harmony in Jammu region.
“In the name of protection of cows, dirty politics are being played and an attempt is made to create a division between Muslims and Hindus. The Reasi attack indicates that some anti-social elements are following an agenda to make a wedge between two communities in the region,” he said and appealed the state police chief to slap Public Safety Act on the self-styled cow protectors.
He said: “If no strict action is not taken against the arrested Gau Rakshaks, they will get encourage and will resort to hooliganism in the region” he said.
