Anganwadi workers stage protest in Kupwara
Scores of Anganwadi workers of Kupwara district Tuesday staged a protest demonstration in Kupwara Town demanding release of their pending salaries and demanding promotions.
Reports said that hundreds of workers today took part in a protest demonstration near DC office Kupwara alleging indifferent attitude of authorities towards their plight.
The protestors demanded release of their pending salary of last eight months.
“We have not received our salaries for last eight months and we have not been promoted,” said Khanam Rafiqa, president union of Anganwadi workers of Kupwara district.
