Reacting to the meeting between Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former chief minister and leader of opposition in J&K Omar Abdullah came down heavily on the CM.

In a tweet he accused Mehbooba Mufti of begging in Delhi to save her job.

“The CM has managed to get herself a reprieve from the PM & secured her job for 3 more months. Sadly nothing will improve with her in office,” he said in a series of tweets.

Omar Abdullah questioned the reality of the Mufti’s leadership, saying that the Chief Minister is unable to hold the elections on the Parliament seat she herself vacated.

“Madam, you are UNABLE to hold elections to the Parliament seat you vacated. Please wake up & smell the reality of your leadership,” He said.

Accusing Mehbooba Mufti of holding her office while the state teeters on the brink, he said that students protest is a new worry.

Earlier Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi to discuss the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir particularly in the valley.

After the meeting Mehbooba Mufti said that, “ In next 2-3 months, you will see the situation completely changed in J&K”.
