Reacting over BJP leader Ram Madhav’s “everything is fair in love and war” remark, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress (JKPCC) G N Monga today said that it is the right time for Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to take a final decision in the interests of the state.

“The statements of Ram Madhav and state minister Prakash Ganga have proven now that every agenda of PDP-BJP alliance is decided in Nagpur. Madhav’s remarks is a clear indication that the state has declared a war on its own people which is unfortunate in a democratic country like India,” Monga said in a statement

“Such statements have added fuel to the fire as situation in Kashmir was already volatile. It is high time for the PDP and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to take a final decision in the interests of the state,” he said.

The Congress leader termed the visit of state DGP to BJP office in Jammu to brief Ram Madhav as eroding credibility of institutions.

“This government isn’t even sparing the institutions as it is hell bent to destroy their credibility. The sanctity of the institutions is supreme but this government is not bothered. It is hell bent to destroy the credibility of the institutions.”

He said that the thinking of BJP leaders and minister is limited and by their actions and statements they have proven to everyone that they are communal and have communal agenda.

“It can’t be changed, but PDP has to decide whether they want to continue with these communal forces who for their divisive agenda have put our state on fire,” the Congress leader said.

He also lashed out at the government for using force against students saying this government doesn’t even tolerate the students.

“Situation is getting worse by the day. The future of our students is at stake as educational institutions have been closed by the government fearing protests. It is not a good sign to play with the career of the students,” he added.
