Rajnath Singh asks all state govts to ensure safety of Kashmiris

Home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday asked all states to ensure safety of Kashmiris living in different parts of the country.

In his tweet Home Minister condemned the incidents of harassment of Kashmiris in other parts of the country.

“I appeal to everyone to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students living in other parts of the country. Kashmiris are a part of our family”. He tweeted.

Rajnath Singh said that Kashmir Youth equally contribute in the progress of India. He demanded action by the states against those who target Kashmiris.

“I have asked the HS to immediately issue an advisory to all the states to ensure the safety and security of Kashmiri students”. He said in a series of tweets.

“I have come to know that there were a few incidents of misbehaviour towards Kashmiris in some places. I appeal to all chief ministers to ensure security of Kashmiris,” he told reporters in New Delhi.

Singh’s statement came in the wake of reports alleging that Kashmiri students in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh were being threatened after the videos of assault on Indain soliders in Kashmir were being circulated widely on social media.

Pertinently, on Thursday, UP Navnirman Sena has asked the Kashmirirs to leave Uttar Pradesh or face the consequences.
