Breaking: Armed Gunmen looted J&K Bank branch at Harmain in Shopian

Armed Gunmen looted J&K Bank branch at Harmain in Shopian district of South Kashmir. According to sources 3-4 gunmen entered the branch and decamped with the money.

Police has started investigating the amount looted.

Immediately after the 2016 unrest, armed gunmen started targeting the banks across the valley. Five such incidents were reported prior to this incident in the valley. Here is the timeline of the attacks on various J&K bank branches across the valley.

November 21, 2016: 13 lac were looted from Char-e-sharif Branch of J&K bank in Budgam.

December 08, 2016: Gunmen fled with 10 lac from Arihal branch of J&K bank of Pulwama district.

December 15, 2016: Ratnipora branch of J&K bank was looted by unidentified gunmen with RS. 11 lacs.

February 15, 2017: Armed Gunmen looted Turkewangam branch of the J&K bank with Rs. 3.14 lac.
