Kashmir to get a Passport Officer soon

Government of India, ministry of external affairs has conducted interview for a vacancy of passport officer Srinagar which has fallen vacant on the repatriation of Firdous Iqbal a KPS officer of 1999 batch who served as passport officer for five years. The interview has been conducted and the final selection will take place within a week’s time.

Reliable sources said that three officers from state have been zeroed in by Government of India for the post including Masarat Hashmi Assistant commissioner Revenue Bandipora, Muzamil Rafiqi Assistant Executive Engineer vigilance organization and Bashir Ahmad Administrative officer DOPT.

As per the guidelines governing the appointment of passport officer’s preference is being given to the officers with experience in finance and in vigilance.
