CRPF lodges police complaint over Chadoora thrashing incident

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has lodged a complaint with police against some youth for thrashing its personnel during the polling held at Kralapora in Central Kashmir on April 9.
A CRPF official said that they have lodged a complaint at Chadoora police station against the youth who had thrashed some personnel of a paramilitary force company that was deployed for polling.
The CRPF Company was deployed from outside the state during the polling day which was marked with heavy violence. At least 8 people were killed and 17 others injured during the clashes between forces and the people on the polling day.
A video had earlier gone viral that some CRPF personnel were thrashed by a mob and who even snatched away their head gear during the polling on Sunday. Another video also figured up on social networking sites depicting that people indulged in stone pelting and beat up the paramilitary force personnel.
As per reports some stone-pelting youth also indulged in clashes with the forces at Budgam and also captured a pooling booth, beat up the polling staff and damaged the EVMs. The protestors even raised pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans.
Pertinently, Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir slammed the Kashmiri for attacking the forces personnel.
Gambhir, took to Twitter to slam the Kashmiri youngsters for the heinous incident.
“For every slap on my army’s Jawan lay down at least a 100 jihadi lives. Whoever wants Azadi LEAVE NOW! Kashmir is ours. #kashmirbelongs2us,” he tweeted.
