Woman injured during clashes
Bandipora: A woman was injured after being hit by pellets during the clashes that erupted in Bandipora between protesters and police, witnesses said Monday.
“Shabeena Wife of Javid Ahmad Dar was injured after being hit by pellets when clashes erupted in Lankreshipora village of Bandipora, after youth attacked a police vehicle with stones,” locals said.
Hospital sources also confirmed that a woman was brought with pellet injuries.
“At Lankreshipora, polling was held for Ward no 8,” they said.
Meanwhile, clashes also erupted in Plan Bandipora near Government Girls higher Secondary school.
“The government forces used teargas shells to disperse the stone-throwing youth,” witnesses added.
