Road mishap kills Tanker conductor, injures driver in Poonch
Poonch: Conductor of a water tanker was killed and the driver injured in a road mishap in Surankote area of Poonch district on Tuesday evening.
Reports said that a vehicle (water tanker No JKO2AE-9177) attached with Army, on way to local army battalion, Jaranwali Gali in Surankote, skidded off the road at Jogi Mohar.
Vehicle’s conductor Nadeem Ahmed (20) son of Dil Mohd of Jogi Mohar died on the spot and the driver Mohd Sageer (36) son of Mohd Sadeeq of Jogi Mohar got seriously injured.
The Injured driver was immediately removed to Sub-District hospital Surakote, where from he was referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that a case has been registered and further investigations have been initiated. GNS
