Life returns to normal in north Kashmir parts
Sopore: Life returned to normal in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and in Handwara, Langate and their adjacent areas in Kupwara district on Saturday.
Normalcy returned in Sopore after two consecutive days of shutdown while as in Handwara, Langate and other areas, the shutdown continued for four consecutive days against the killing of a Hurriyat activist and two militants in Sopore encounter and two local militants in a gunfight at Guloora village of Handwara town.
The commercial establishments, schools and offices opened in both towns while as public transport plied normally.
Two foreign JeM outfit militants were killed in an encounter at Taliyan Mohalla Arampora Sopore on Thursday, while as a Hurriyat activist was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Bomai area of Sopore.
Similarly, two local LeT militants were killed during a gunfight at Guloora Langate in Handwara town on last Tuesday.
