Killing civilians is ‘uncivilized act’: DFP
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Saturday paid tributes to five militants who were killed in a gunfight at Chowgam village of Qazigund.
The party as per a statement issued here also expressed shock over the killing of young civilian Raouf Ahmad Ganai.
The spokesperson expressed dismay over the killing of 24-year-old Raouf Ahmad and said that killing unarmed civilians is ‘uncivilized and inhuman act’ on part of the government forces.
He hailed the sacrifices of Gulzar Ahmad Padder of Adijan Kulgam, Faisal Ahmad Rather of Yamrach Kulgam, Zahid Ahmad Mir of Okey Kulgam, Masroor Molvi of Fatehpora Anantnag and Zahoor Ahmad Lone of Nagnad Noorabad.
The spokesperson also praised the role of the slain militants in the ongoing resistance movement.
He said that the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir is the result of the “stubbornness and illogical approach” of New Delhi. “The irrational policies of India towards the Kashmir issue are the main factors behind such bloodshed going on in the region since decades together,” he added.
The spokesperson said that “India must give up its rigidity to resolve the long pending Kashmir dispute. This is the only way out to stop the ongoing bloodshed in the disputed region.”
He expressed solidarity with the families of those who were killed in Chowgam Qazigund and assured them that their sacrifices will be safeguarded at any cost.
He condemned the use of force on civilians at Chowgam and prayed for speedy recovery of injured persons.
