Militants offer gun salute to civilian killed last week
Locals exhume his body, bury him next to Sadam Padder
Shopian: Locals in Heff village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday exhumed the body of civilian Tariq Ahmad who killed by unknown gunmen last week and buried him next to slain HM commander Sadam Padder.
Witnesses said that soon after Friday prayers culminated at least six militants appeared at the graveyard where Tariq was buried and declared him as a ‘martyr’. The gunmen asked the locals to exhume his body and bury him next to slain Hizb commander, Sadam Padder.
“The militants offered gun salute to Tariq and said that he was killed in cold blood. The militants blamed the intelligence agencies for his death,” a witness said.
Pertinently Tariq, a carpenter by profession was related to slain HM commander Bilal Mohand alias Molvi. Tariq, according to police sources was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on last Sunday and the very next morning his dead body was found at Arwani village of Bijbehara area.
Tariq is survived by a wife who is expecting a baby, besides an elder brother.
