Kashmir shuts to remember July 13 martyrs
Srinagar: The Kashmir valley is today observing complete shutdown on the anniversary of July 13 martyrs.
Shops and other business establishments remained closed in parts of Kashmir while public transport is off the roads. The shutdown has been called by joint resistance leaders. Also the day is observed as official holiday.
The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for Mazar-e-Shuhada Naqshband Sahib (RA) Chalo on July 13 (today) to commemorate the martyrs of July 13, 1931.
