Tral shuts to remember slain militant commander

Pulwama: Tral township in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday observed a complete shutdown to mark the first death anniversary of Hizb ul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Bhat and his associate Faizan Bhat.

All shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town while public transport is off the roads.

Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, alias Soub Don of Rathsuna hamlet of Tral was killed along with his associate, Faizan Bhat at Saimoh in a gunfight with troops on May 27 last year.
