SKUAST students hold protests against civilian killings

Sopore: Protests erupted in SKUAST north campus at Wadoora Sopore on Thursday against the civilian killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam and Shopian districts.

Four civilians, Sarjeel Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Fazil Illahi and Aijaz Ahmad were killed by government forces in Khudwani area f Kulgam during clashes which erupted amid a gunfight between militants and forces on Wednesday. At least 60 persons also sustained injuries in force’s action.

Witnesses told that hundreds of students including female students held protests at SKUAST campus of north Kashmir situated at Wadoora Sopore in Baramulla district.

Pro-freedom and anti India slogans were raised during the protest.
