Voter awareness program under SVEEP held at Govt BHS Anderwan

Srinagar: Under the aegis of SVEEP, one day voter awareness program was held in the premises of Govt Boys High School Anderwan Ganderbal. This program attracted a huge crowed of senior citizens, young voters, first time aspiring voters besides female folk of the locality.

It was resolved that vote is our future, vote is our voice and every vote counts. Thus emphasis was laid on achieving maximum voting percentage on the day of polls. Speakers threw light on the importance and value of vote, which strengthens the very roots of democracy.

Demo lessons regarding how to cast our vote on EVM were given by the BAGs booth level awareness group members on the occasion. Students of the school who are the future voters also attended this vibrant event. Those who spoke in the event include Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, Mohd Ayaz Mir, Altaf Hussain Zargar, Rayees Ahmad Kumar and Showkat Ahmad.

After the culmination of the awareness program,a plantation drive was launched by the officials of J&K Forests department. This event was moderated by BLO Mushtaq Ahmad Wani and the whole event was held under the chairmanship of Mohd Shafi Dar HOI and chairman of the BAGs committee.
