DC Baramulla chairs preparatory meeting for Lok Sabha Elections
BARAMULLA: The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Baramulla, Minga Sherpa Saturday chaired a meeting at DC complex here to review the preparations for the smooth conduct of upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024 in district Baramulla.
At the outset, the DEO held a detailed discussion with the Officers present in the meeting and illustrated the various important aspects of the Parliamentary Electoral process mainly aimed at ensuring smooth and peaceful conduct of General Elections 2024 in Baramulla District.
The DEO held deliberations regarding assured required facilities available at polling stations, availability of manpower, logistics, transport plan, communication plan, training to the polling staff, EVM management plan and management of postal ballot and other key agendas.
During the meeting, the DEO emphasised upon the concerned officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements as per the guidelines of ECI and lay special focus on increasing voter turnout through Polling Station/AC Level SVEEP Programs in the District.
The DEO further underscored the importance of close coordination among nodal officers to facilitate a smooth and inclusive electoral process, encouraging maximum participation from all eligible voters.
Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Syed Qamar Iqbal, Additional, Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, Dy District Election Officer Baramulla Ab Rehaman Bhat, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Arshid Ahmad Khan, SDM Uri, Javed Ahmad Rather, SDM Gulmarg, Syed Altaf, SDM Pattan, Gulzar Ahmad and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
