DLC approves 7 cases for Change of Land Use at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: In a proactive move towards fostering planned development and optimizing land utilization in the district, a pivotal District Level Committee (DLC) meeting was convened Wednesday at the VC Room of Mini Secretariat Complex, Ganderbal.

The meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal Shyambir discussed 13 cases for Change of Land Use (CLU).

After in-depth deliberations on comments from various departments regarding CLU cases and following a comprehensive review of NOCs shared by concerned departments, the committee approved 7 cases for Change of Land Use, rejected 2 cases, while 4 cases have been deferred for further scrutiny in the subsequent meeting.

Underlining the significance of timely resolutions, the DC urged departments to furnish quality comments and necessary NOCs for the remaining cases within the specified timeframe to enable the prompt approval of the outstanding cases.

During the meeting, the DC also took stock of the status of building permissions in rural areas. He directed the concerned Block Development Officers to expedite the processing of all pending applications in accordance with established rules and guidelines. Stressing the need for effective inter-departmental coordination, the DC instructed officers to adhere to deadlines for seamless execution.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gulzar Ahmad; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Kangan, GM DIC, Chief Agriculture Officer, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildars and BDOs along with representatives from other line departments involved in authorizing changes in land use.
