Workshop to promote Road Safety held at Anantnag

ANANTNAG: In an effort to create awareness among employees and dealers on safer driving habits and responsible road behavior, a workshop on Road Safety was Monday held at Anantnag.

The workshop was organized by Automobile Dealers association Anantnag in collaboration with Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Anantnag.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Anantnag, Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the workshop.

Speaking at the event, ARTO said that during this National Road Safety Month 2024 emphasis has been laid on the  importance and need to follow traffic rules, including traffic lights, speed limits, pedestrian crossing rules and wearing seat-belts while driving a car, amongst others.

He said that these initiatives are aimed at promoting traffic rules and safe driving practices.

Meanwhile, it was given out that Sales and Service Camps will be organized at all dealerships, and the customers visiting the dealership outlets during the Road Safety Month will be encouraged to take safety pledge to Be Road Safety Hero and abide by key areas of road safety.
