Police arrests two drug peddlers in Baramulla

Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said Friday.

He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa, intercepted 02 suspicious persons. During search, 60 grams of Charas like contraband substance was recovered from their possession.

They were identified as Sakib Rashid son of Abdul Rashid resident of Kanispora and Zeeshan Ali son of Ali Mohammad Malik resident of Delina Baramulla. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Chandoosa where they remained in custody.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chandoosa and investigations have been initiated.
