Zone Chandoosa kick starts training program of Literary functionaries

Baramulla: Zonal Education Officer Chandoosa inaugurated a one day training program of literary functionaries under Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakaram (ULLAS), a statement issued by ULLAS said Tuesday.

Notably, the program has been devised by Balbir Singh Raina Chief Education Officer Baramulla and its District Nodal officer Syed Ishfaq Noor.

The program will run in two phases and in the first phase more than sixty literary functionaries from the zone have been imparted basic requirements in order to impart education to the Non-literates, the statement said.

Speaking on the occasion Ali Mohd Lone Zonal Education Officer Chandoosa said Education process is not limited to any age, person, place or other limitation of the life.

“It can be continued all through the life because it does not end with the schooling. Individual education plays great role in the development and growth of life, person, society and country. Being a democratic country without educated people, is useless. India is a sovereign democratic republic country struggling hard for becoming the developed country like other countries in the world. So the literary functionaries can play a vital role in imparting basic education and other skills among the non literates,” he said.

Meanwhile, some senior citizens while participating in the training program hailed the move of Department and also said that literacy raises standard of living and brings economic development and social transformation in the country.

Pertinently, Zonal Nodal officer ULLAS Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat imparted the training session to all the literary functionaries.
