Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Chakloo intercepted one person.
During search, 110 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mehraj-ud-din Mir son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Chijhama Rafiabad. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation have been initiated, the spokesman said.
